Europe
Dalmatia -a historical region of Croatia on the Adriatic Sea; mountainous with many islands.
The Dalmatia has a sea next to it that contains over 1,300 islands!
Dardanelles -the strait between the Aegean and the Sea of Marmara that separates European Turkey from Asian Turkey.
Dardanelles might separate Europe and Asia, but the waterway connects the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
Daugavpils-a city of southeastern Latvia.
While touring Daugavpils, the family were enveloped by the towering castles.
Donets Basin -an industrial region in the Ukraine.
The Donets Basin has become an industrialized territory suffering majorly from pollution.
